Closed Captioning

Sintel is an independently produced short film, initiated by the Blender Foundation as a means to further improve and validate the free/open source 3D creation suite Blender. The WGBH Media Access Group added closed captions and descriptive video. Fox provided Interop and SMPTE Digital Cinema Packages with this content plus center channel main audio on the hearing impaired track. This unencrypted content can be used to test HI/VI-N and closed captioning systems. Download the appropriate TAR from the list below, then untar it on a 16GB EXT2 USB flash drive. The content can then be ingested into the digital cinema server.

For reference, the closed caption file is available here. This can be used to check timing of captions, check for missing captions, and other errors.
