Please unzip the contents onto a flash drive or portable hard drive and ingest these clips onto your digital cinema server. There are 3 LST DCPs - "LSS Start Test" - which will play a slow flashing Red/ Green image. The LSS-100P on software version 150527 and later will detect this image sequence and begin one of the test scripts stored in the LSS' memory. These clips are 32 seconds long; the associated script will begin at 30 seconds into playback. Ingest these clips and use to activate the LSS-100P script associated with the test you wish to run. In addition, there are and additional three "LSS Start Test" DCPs that play a slow flashing white screen. As an option, LSS-100P versions 160922 and later can have scripts start with these flash sequences. See the Command Scripts page on the LSS. At the bottom of this page on versions 160922 and later is a setting that allows for the selection of white or red/green script start. If white flash script start is used, the threshold for white detection is set (a typical value of 142 is suggested). As with the red/green start clips, each runs 32 seconds. LSS_BW_Start_A starts script 0, B starts 1, and C starts 2. The white flash script start is offered as an option because some laser projectors do not provide enough red/green separation to reliably start scripts with the red/green flash technique. Alternatively, you can create a TCP command cue on your Digital Cinema Server, and have the playlist send that command to activate the LSS-100P test. There are 2 general purpose DCPs, one for 5.1 and 7.1 auditoriums. Each test runs 3 bands of pink noise to each stage speaker, low frequency pink noise to LFE, and full range pink noise to each surround. Recorded Data from this test will identify a frequency range for a failed speaker to help technicians and theater staff identify problems. During the entire test a SMPTE 431-1 white square is shown for the LSS to record data on video parameters. There are 2 3D test DCPs, designed to measure light characteristics for 3D systems. One test plays full SMPTE 431-1 white through both Left and Right eye systems at the same time for full screen light level testing. The second version plays full SMPTE 431-1 white through each eye separately to identify differences in the Left and Right images, especially for 2 projector installations. These are intended to be played in 3D mode through the system. There is no sound during this test. There are 2 4-way speaker test DCPs, one for 5.1 and 7.1 auditoriums. LSS-100P Test Scripts The following are example scripts for using the DCPs in this package. Please copy the script text and add it to the LSS-100P's internal Scripts using the web interface. Scripts stored in the LSS are identified by a blank line between them. The first script shown in the list will be "script 0" and will be activated by the "LST-Start-A..." DCP; the second script by the "LST-Start-B..." and so on. The following scripts will record data to the LSS-100 and post a copy of their data to http://lssdb.uslinc.com database. Please change or remove the "lss100.sys.log_post" line from the script if you do not wish to post auditorium data.
