In this Report and Order, we are modifying the practices and procedures set forth in 47 C.F.R. §§ 73.3550 and 74.783, regarding the assignment of call signs to radio and television broadcast stations. Specifically, as we proposed in the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in this proceeding,1 the measures adopted herein will replace our existing manual procedures with an on-line system for the electronic preparation and submission of requests for the reservation and authorization of new and modified call signs. - is utilized, there must be two such identifications between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and another two identifications between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. each broadcast day at approximately one hour intervals during each time period. Alternatively, the LPTV or TV translator may transmit its call sign in International Morse Code at least once each hour. See 47 C.F.R. Sections 74.783 and 73.1201. Also, where the station's identification is to be made by a primary station, the LPTV or TV translator station must provide to the primary station and arrange for the maintenance of current information as to the LPTV or TV translator station's call letters and location, and the name, address and telephone number of the person to be contacted
