Similarly,weexpectthatthosebuildingownerswhochoosetotakecontroloftheinsidewiringwill exercisethatcontrolinanondiscriminatoryway,consistentwiththegoalsoftheTelecommunications Actandthepublicinterest.136 58.Weanticipatethatthemeasuresdescribedabovewillsubstantiallyreducethepotentialfor incumbentLECstoobstructcompetitiveaccesstoMTEs.Thesechangeswillfacilitatebuildingowners' exerciseoftheiroptiontorelocatethedemarcationpointinexistingbuildings,andpreventincumbent LECsfromabusingtheircontroloverinformationregardingthelocationofthedemarcationpoint. RemainingIssuesinCCDocketNo.88-57 59.Asdiscussedabove,severalpartiesfiledpetitionsforreconsiderationofthe1997 DemarcationPointOrder.Thosepetitionsthatdidnotrelatetothedemarcationpointandcontrolover accesswereresolvedearlierthisyear.138However,wedeterminedatthattimetodeferresolutionof thosepetitionsrelatedtothedemarcationpoint,aswellascertainissuesonwhichwesoughtfurther commentinthe1997DemarcationPointOrderpendingouractioninthisproceeding. 3. SingleDefinitionofInsideWiring 60. Similarly,weexpectthatthosebuildingownerswhochoosetotakecontroloftheinsidewiringwill exercisethatcontrolinanondiscriminatoryway,consistentwiththegoalsoftheTelecommunications Actandthepublicinterest.136 58.Weanticipatethatthemeasuresdescribedabovewillsubstantiallyreducethepotentialfor incumbentLECstoobstructcompetitiveaccesstoMTEs.Thesechangeswillfacilitatebuildingowners' exerciseoftheiroptiontorelocatethedemarcationpointinexistingbuildings,andpreventincumbent LECsfromabusingtheircontroloverinformationregardingthelocationofthedemarcationpoint. SingleDefinitionofInsideWiring 60.
