§ 5.73 Experimental report.
(a) The following provisions apply to conventional experimental radio
licenses and to medical testing experimental licenses that operate under
part 15, Radio Frequency Devices; part 18, Industrial, Scientific, and
Medical Equipment, part 95, Personal Radio Services subpart H—Wireless
Medical Telemetry Service; or part 95, subpart I—Medical Device
Radiocommunication Service:
(1) The Commission may, as a condition of authorization, request that the
licensee forward periodic reports in order to evaluate the progress of the
experimental program.
(2) An applicant may request that the Commission withhold from the public
certain reports and associated material and the Commission will do so unless
the public interest requires otherwise. These requests should follow the
procedures for submission set forth in § 0.459 of this chapter.
(b) The provisions in § 5.207 apply to broadcast experimental radio licenses.
(c) The provisions in § 5.309 apply to program experimental licenses and to
medical testing experimental licenses that do not operate under part 15,
Radio Frequency Devices; part 18, Industrial, Scientific, and Medical
Equipment, part 95, Personal Radio Services subpart H—Wireless Medical
Telemetry Service; or part 95, subpart I—Medical Device Radiocommunication
Service.
Effective Date Note: At 78 FR 25162 , Apr. 29, 2013, § § 5.73 was revised. This
section contains information collection and recordkeeping requirements and
will not become effective until approval has been given by the Office of
Management and Budget.
