Sec. 95.605 Certification procedures.
Any entity may request certification for its transmitter when the
transmitter is used in the GMRS, FRS, R/C, CB, IVDS, LPRS, MURS, or MICS
following the procedures in part 2 of this chapter. Medical implant
transmitters shall be tested for emissions and EIRP limit compliance while
enclosed in a medium that simulates human body tissue in accordance with the
procedures in Sec. 95.639(g). Frequency stability testing for MICS transmitters
shall be performed over the temperature range set forth in Sec. 95.628.
Dedicated Short-Range Communications Service On-Board Units (DSRCS-OBUs)
must be certified in accordance with subpart L of this part and subpart J of
part 2 of this chapter.
